Beef Stew

2 T all purpose flour
1 lb beef stew meat
2 T cooking oil'
3 1/2 C vegetable juice cocktail
1/2 chopped onion
2 tsp instant beef bouillion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp dried basil, crushed
1/2 tsp dried thyme, crushed
2 1/4 C cubed, peeled potatoes
2 C sliced carrots

Place flour in a plastic bag. Add meat cubes, a few at a time, shaking to coat. In a large saucepan brown meat, half at a time, in hot oil. In the bottom of a 3 1/2 or 4 quart electric crockery cooker layer onion, potatoes, and carrots. Sprinkle with bouiilion, garlic, basil and thyme; add meat. Pour 2 12 Cups vege juice cocktail over meat. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender.
